The music of Duke Ellington is a revolutionary fusion of jazz, blues, and classical influences. As a pioneer of big band jazz, he developed a truly distinctive sound: elegant, layered, and irresistibly swinging. It is no surprise that he is regarded as one of the greatest American composers of all time. During this special JAZZ Tribute Event, his timeless compositions will sparkle as never before.

Count Basie was one of the most influential figures in jazz history. He became known around the world as a brilliant pianist, composer and bandleader who helped shape the sound of big-band jazz. One of his signature songs Swingin’ the Blues perfectly captures the essence of Basie’s sound - bluesy, bold and full of life. The tune is packed with catchy riffs, a strong rhythm section, and space for solo musicians to shine with improvisation.

MIDNIGHT ON 52ND STREET WITH TOM VAN DER ZAAL

We proudly announce an extraordinary live JAZZ Tribute Concert series, with two amazing jazz tributes you don't want to miss! With Midnight on 52nd Street, we take you back to the legendary era of jazz on West 52nd Street in New York City - from the mid-1930s through the late 1940s. Known as “Swing Street,” this iconic stretch truly came alive after midnight.

Award-winning saxophonist Tom van der Zaal returns to JAZZ with two exclusive Midnight on 52nd Street Tribute Concerts, honoring the legendary artists Charlie Parker and Jackie McLean, whose music forever shaped jazz history. Van der Zaal is rapidly becoming one of the Netherlands’ most exciting established jazz artists. Performing on renowned international stages, he brings passion, virtuosity, and storytelling to every note. For these tribute concerts, Tom is joined by his close musical companions, creating a truly special live experience.

LIVE GYPSY JAZZ EVENTS

With our Live Gypsy JAZZ Concerts, we return to the roots of gypsy jazz.

Gypsy jazz originated in the 1930s in Paris within Roma communities. It is a melting pot of French musette, American swing, and traditional gypsy music. Gypsy jazz fills the room with an energetic, joyful, and fast-swinging atmosphere.

Come to JAZZ and experience this incredible live jazz event with the sensational guitarists Jaïr Stunt and Tessa Spaaij, joined by their national and international musical friends!

We are proud to present an extra Live Gypsy JAZZ Event this season, on Sunday afternoon 26 April 2026, from 16 - 18 PM. This special afternoon features the magnificent gypsy jazz guitarist Olli Soikkeli from New York City.

Live JAZZ events

Every Thursday evening, Friday evening and Sunday afternoon you can enjoy live jazz music at JAZZ Coffee & Wines . We update our live events calendar regularly, and present all live music events at our Instagram page.

During regular live jazz concerts we charge 5 euros per person. This fee will be added to the bill. Tickets for the live jazz series such as ‘Swingin’ the Blues’ and ‘Gypsy Jazz’ cost 12.5 euros per person. Tickets can be booked via the website or on the evening itself.
